First came the rainbow granny blanket - my first ever attempt at a crochet project...


 Next was my hexagon table runner...

And then came my granny cushion cover...

Next I made a hexagon baby blanket...

And then for a bit of fun I learnt how to make some crochet balls...

Using the same crochet ball pattern I made lots of lovely crocheted Christmas Puddings for some Christmas ornament swaps...


and then I made my lovely Mum a granny crochet cushion cover for her birthday...



And now I'm busy planning my next crochet adventure :-)


**INSPIRING CROCHET BLOGS TO VISIT**
  • Attic 24 - lots of colour and some lovely tutorials as well as a look at family life for a mum of 3 in Northern England (I've used the hexagon and joining granny squares as you go tutorials)
  • Little Tin Bird - lots of yummy crochet including some great tutorials for beginners (including the basic granny square which I used for my first blanket!)
  • Crochet with Raymond - a kiwi crocheter based in Wellington who uses lovely colours and has dyed and spun her own yarn
  • Paisley Jade - another kiwi blogger who crochets and also shares the most yummy recipes!
  • Julia Crossland - is an amazing artist who also crochets. I am also taking part in her Being Creative project in 2011. Julia also offers a free crochet e-book you can download which contains 5 tutorials.
  • iCrochet - a collective blog where you can submit your latest projects and see what everyone else is working on - very inspiring and a great place to showcase your work.
