The theme for August for Julia Crossland's Being Creative project was Travel.
I did a search for some travel related quotes that I liked and settled on one by Mark Twain:
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover."
And then I attempted to make my own word art using a mixture of fonts. I went with blue text and background because of the 'sailing' mention in the quote. Here's my first attempt...
Next I decided to put the text onto an image. I didn't have any suitable water photos so I used this one that I took in 2010 at Ashhurst. I'm really pleased with how it turned out and think I'll get it printed and put in a frame.
You can see all of my Being Creative projects here.
OOh Katie, I always love the way you interpret the themes in Being Creative...this time is no exception! The quote is fab and the mixture of fonts in the first image is great....but your final soon to be framed pictorial word art piece is amazing!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to next month's creative interpretation!

This is a great idea. I love how everyone on the challenge interprets the same prompt in a totally different way. I am really enjoying taking part in this challenge and looking at everyone else's work.
